Tribute Gifts

The Cumberland Health Care Foundation tribute gift program provides you with an opportunity to express your feelings for another individual, whether they are family, friends or colleagues. A tribute donation is a meaningful way to let others know you are thinking about them and that you care.

In making this tribute donation, you not only honour an individual, you honour your commitment to health care. Tribute donations made to the Cumberland Health Care Foundation makes our community a better place, in that you are supporting regional health services in Cumberland County.

There are two kinds of tribute gifts that you can make. You can make a tribute gift “In Memory” of an individual and through this gift, honour a life lived. It is a way for you to remember this special person and to let others know how much this person meant to you.

The other type of tribute gift is an “In Honour” gift which can be made to acknowledge that special person or organization. For example, many people have given gifts “In Honour” of our doctors and nurses who have provided care for them or a loved one. “In Honour” gifts can be made to celebrate numerous special occasions: a birth, birthday, anniversary, father’s day/mother’s day, a wedding or simply just because.

If you’d like to honour that special someone, please consider making a tribute gift to the Cumberland Health Care Foundation. Your gift can be used to fund medical equipment, special projects and programs such as palliative care, all of which provide a high level of quality healthcare to the residents of Cumberland County. Tribute gifts can also be undesignated, allowing us to direct your gift where the need is the greatest.

Tribute gifts are special for both the recipient and the individual making the donation. We want to help make this gift giving experience as meaningful for both parties as possible. The Cumberland Health Care Foundation will send an announcement of your gift to the person being honour or the next of kin in the case of an “In Memory” gift. The amount of your gift is kept strictly confidential. The Cumberland Health Care Foundation will send you written acknowledgement of your gift along with a charitable tax receipt for your donation.
