RE:  Cumberland Health Careers – Bursary Program

Here is your opportunity and the information to become a recipient in the Cumberland Health Careers Bursary Program.

In today’s fast-paced business environment, the Cumberland Health Careers Bursary Program is an initiative that will enable you, the student, to facilitate a smooth integration from the post-secondary educational environment into the workplace while at the same time building a mutually rewarding relationship.

The Bursary Program may involve the following:

• Participation in a job shadow experience with an experienced health care professional.
• Participation in summer, Christmas and spring break work experiences.
• Participation in the building of working relationship.
• A willingness to offer different perspectives and share learning and knowledge.
• Organize and communicate working objectives.
• A return of service, post graduation, equal to the number years supported by the bursary program.

In order to participate in the Bursary Program we ask you to complete, in full, the application form, attach an updated resume detailing your academic and community involvements, an official transcript from the appropriate school and three references.  You must also include a cover letter explaining in detail how you feel you can contribute to the organization and to the existing staff and service to our community if you are the successful bursary recipient.
