RUSHTON, SHEILA
Nova Scotia’s picturesque beauty allows Sheila to pursue her passion for photography.
Most of Sheila’s photos are captured while enjoying long drives with husband and two children. Whether it is the back road of Nova Scotia or elsewhere in Canada, Sheila always finds something unique to photograph. Along with her nature photos, Sheila also shoots outdoor portraits, reunions, graduations, weddings, horse and car shows.
Two photos of one of Sheila’s favorite subjects, the old Nuttby House, are on display here at the CRHCC. Sheila has always wanted to capture this house on a crisp winter evening. Shortly after developing these prints, the Nuttby House had fallen down and the ruins were disposed of.
For many years, friends and family have been commenting on Sheila’s eye for uniqueness and pushing her toward a career in photography. Sheila is doing just that, not only is Sheila photography, she can also be found working as an LPN here at the CRHCC.
Sheila is proud and humbled to have her work showcased at this gallery and hopes to help support the Foundation.
For more information on Sheila’s work, please contact the Foundation or e-mail her directily at sheilarushton@eastlink.ca
