NOILES,
BRENT
I started taking photographs back in high school and have loved it ever since. From my first tries using a tobacco can for a pin-hole camera, to my very first camera, taking pictures was always something I enjoyed.
I’ve lived in Amherst most of my life, except for being away at St. Francis Xavier and living in Ottawa. I didn’t always take my camera along with on every journey, but I’ve always had that feeling, that I should be taking pictures of this or that.
For me, being a photographer means looking at everything your eye can capture. Sometimes you look once, most times, you look twice, three times, maybe four. You’re always trying to find the beauty of your subject, and with luck, the perfect photograph.
I’ve taken photos in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia and my home province never fails to amaze me with its inherent and rugged beauty. I hope my photos help to highlight some of the lesser known beauty hidden in our province, along with the other places I’ve visited.
I hope you enjoy my work and please be in contact with your ideas and thoughts.
