THURBER, JUNE KATHLEEN ( J. FRAUZEL)

Born in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, June paints under her maiden name, Frauzel.

She is primarily self-taught and only began to paint seriously after retiring from a career in teaching. She has worked in watercolor and acrylic but has settled on oils as her medium of choice. She paints a wide range of subjects: landscapes, seascapes, wild life, nudes, children, etc. She paints for the pleasure of it and considers it a learning experience and a privilege.
