HALLEE, SHIRLEY ANN

Bachelor’s of Art from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Additional study in Art at the University of Nevada, the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Post-graduate study in hand-made paper at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Further study in printmaking, drawing, and sculpture at Mount Allison University (audited classes).

Exhibited extensively in the U.S. and Canada including the watercolor collage at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and hand-made paper at the Mary E. Black Gallery in Hallifax. Represented by the Duke of Argyle gallery in Halifax and others. Has shown in exhibitions sponsored by Visual Arts Nova Scotia.

Honorary invitational exhibits at the University of New Brunswick Art Centre – Canada 125, and at “Salon d’Oeuvres sur Papier de Montreal” – an international exhibition. Also exhibited in juried exhibitions at the Owens at Mount Allison University and at St. FX Art Gallery in Antigonish.

Works can be found in private and public collections in Canada, United States, Belgium, Australia and Japan.

Taught painting and drawing at the University level in U.S. Taught Art Education at the Nova Scotia Teachers College. Art Teach in public schools for twelve years and taught privately in her studio/gallery.
