GAUL,
(M.F.) MICHAEL
Originally from the Annapolis Valley area of Nova Scotia, Michael moved to Amherst in the mid seventies. After obtaining his masters in the education of the hearing impaired, he taught with APSEA (Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority) until his retirement in 2007.
Michael enjoys being at home with his wife, Carolyn, where he operates his photography studio and gallery.
A member of several photography organizations, he enjoys attending seminars and workshops to constantly improve his photographic skills, most recently a PPOC Atlantic Workshop at Mount Allison University. As well, he has, and is open to, giving talks on photography to interested groups in the area.
Since the business began in 1982, M.F. Gaul Photography has taken pride in its wedding, portrait, commercial and landscape work throughout the Maritimes.
M.F. Gaul Photography has had numerous shows over the years in Amherst, Halifax and Moncton, showcasing his wide range of maritime and especially, Cumberland County scenes.
The Gaul Gallery, located at 52 Brookside Drive, just off D’Orsay Road, offers framed pictures of Cumberland County and Eastern Canada in all sizes and price ranges. It has supplied photographic images of our region to customers all across Canada, North America, and as far away as Australia, including some that have been presented to a former Canadian Governor General and to the British Royal family.
