FRENETTE, ANDREW E.
Andrew grew up in Amherst, NS and came from a large family of nine. His interest in photography started out in the 1980’s, with a video camera. He videotaped anything and everything. Later, in the early ‘90s, he would become more “Focused” on still photography. One of his many siblings (Norma), started doing sports photography in 2002, and designed a “Sports Collage”. They soon started a company called “Frenette & Stevens Custom Photos”.
Frenette & Stevens Custom Photos continues to cover some sporting events, but also creates yearbooks, photographs weddings, portraits, scenery, collages, do graphics design, and even vinyl lettering and signs. Andrew also has a heat-press to put his photography on license plates, mousepads, etc. They can be found on the web at www.frenetteandstevens.com.
Enjoying the small-town life, today, Andrew lives in Brookdale, NS (Just outside Amherst) with his wife and 3 kids. When Andrew photographs scenery and landscapes, he is very particular about lighting, and will often wait to get a shot on a certain day or certain time of day. He also prefers to nearly always dictate whether the flash should or should not go off during a shot, rather than let the camera decide for him.
Please contact the Foundation office for contact information for the artist or visit the artist’s website at www.frenetteandstevens.com.
