CHAPMAN, VIRGINIA (GINNY)
Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Ginny moved to Amherst during her first year of school. She started with oil panting in the 1970s, having Roberta Taylor as an instructor but with working full-time and four children, she did not have much time for art.
Ginny took several courses in drawing at night school from Mount Allison University. When she retired, she took up watercolor with the Sackville Art Association with instructor Joan Gregory. Over the next ten years she continued developing her skill but taking summer workshops in the Maritimes.
Watercolor is now the main medium Ginny works in and enjoys it very much. Her work has been shown in the Maritimes for the past ten years.
For additional information on the artist, please email ginny.chapman@hotmail.com or contact the Foundation office and they will arrange contact with the artist for you.
