BRUNDAGE, TERRIE
Terrie Brundage (Cole) was born and raised in Amherst, the eldest daughter of Walter and Eileen Cole. She resides in Amherst with her husband, Ivan and is very close to her daughter, Shannin and grandson Shane.
She uses painting as therapy. When she’s having a bad day, painting helps her to relax and it takes her to a faraway place with less pain. This is when she seems to do her best work.
She started painting on canvas in 2005. She is self-taught and works mostly with acrylic paint and does some pencil work. She is looking forward to learning how to oil paint. She usually likes to paint from pictures she has seen. I have exhibited her paintings at the Cumberland County Black Artisans’ Society and the Cumberland County Museum.
Words she lives by – “I try to enjoy life to the fullest. When I wake up each day, I thank God for another day.”
For additional information on the artist, please email terriescrafts@hotmail.com or contact the Foundation office and they will arrange contact with the artist for you.
