Donor Information & Recognition Kiosk

April 26, 2009 (Amherst, NS) – The Cumberland Health Care Foundation has launched its new donor information & recognition kiosk at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Designed for a two-fold purpose, the lower unit allows for the virtual recognition of donors and related giving levels while the upper level enables the promotion of the Foundation and its programs, overviews of past hospital activities, upcoming events for the Foundation and the local Cumberland Health Care Auxiliary, as well as many other snippets of interesting tidbits.
“It’s rather exciting to finally have it in place,” stated Joe Gauthier, Managing Director for the Foundation, “it’s nice to be able to visually inform people about how this hospital came to be and what’s been happening since. As we continue to update the unit we’ll also be adding profiles of donors who have continued to make a difference in the lives of others through gifts to the Foundation.”
The names only of more than 8,000 individuals are listed on the unit with the exception of those donors who wished to remain anonymous. The listing will be updated 2-3 times per year for cumulative giving levels of individuals. The exact amount a donor has given is not listed - instead the donor is placed within one of the 9 recognized giving levels.
