Terry “Moosie” Lorette Tournament
benefits Palliative Care

AMHERST, NS (September 25th, 2008) – The Palliative Care Fund of the Cumberland Health Care Foundation gratefully received the proceeds from this year’s Terry ‘Moosie’ Lorette Memorial Golf Tournament held in August.
On hand was Doris Lorette presenting the cheque for $2000 to Carol Embree of the Palliative Care Program of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
“Support from community events over the year make a difference in what we’re able to provide each year and years to come,” said Joe Gauthier, Foundation Managing Director “this donation will help us to continue providing additional medical equipment and support for palliative care patients now and into the future.”
The Cumberland Health Care Foundation is a registered Canadian not-for-profit charity dedicated to enhancing the provision of a high standard of health care within Cumberland County by raising funds and supporting new and improved services, programs, equipment and facilities.
