Best in Door Show!
AMHERST, NS (December 6, 2007) – The Cumberland Health Care Foundation is pleased to announce the following winning doors entered in this year’s “Show us the door!” competition as part of the Light the Way program.
“We were truly amazed at the quality and creativity of the doors involved,” said David Wood, Foundation Chair, “and as one of the judges it was extremely difficult to rank the over 50 doors entered.” The four judges toured the doors on the morning of Light the Way, December 5th, ranking each door in the aspects of first impressions, creativity, holiday seasonal appeal, and overall impression.
The winning doors for this year are:
1. First prize - Door 2375 – Lab
2. Second prize - Door 2400 – Surgical
3. Third prize - Door 1425 – Materials Management / Stores
Due to the quality and number of entries involved, the Foundation also wishes to announce the best in “theme” for this year’s event. “We loved the fact that so many teammates worked on creating a theme for their department / unit. It took coordination and working together – and we clearly saw the theme,” said Wood, “the Foundation is pleased to honor those departments who brought their theme to the forefront this year.”

Prizes for the top 3 doors and for the 4 best themes can be picked up from Nini at the Foundation office.
The winners of the door prizes from last evening’s Light the Way are:
