The judges will be comprised of 3 volunteers from CHA Volunteer Services, the chair of the Foundation – David Wood, and a representative from the Cumberland Health Authority Board of Directors. Individual doors will be rated on: first impressions, creativity, holiday seasonal appeal, and the individual judge’s overall impression. A numerical rating of 1 through 10 on each aspect will be applied and tallied to give the door a total rating.
Just over l,000 lighted ornaments have been sponsored to date and individuals can continue sponsoring one of the over 5,000 lights decorating the regional hospital up until December 21st. The lights will be officially turned on the evening of December 5th and will remain lit throughout the holiday season. Proceeds this year will go towards providing five (5) new defibrillators at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Donations to “Light the Way!” can also be made at the Cumberland Health Care Foundation office located at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, by calling 902 667-5400 ext. 6210 or by visiting the website www.chcfoundation.com.
