Highland Classic Charity Golf Event Slated to Go!!
AMHERST,
NS (July 31, 2007) – Golfers will once again be taking
to the greens of the Amherst Golf Club on Friday, August
10th in support of the Cumberland Health Care Foundation.
Looking to host 38 teams for the event, golf chair Dwight
Jones commented “it’s going to be a great,
fun filled day on the course – lots of camaraderie,
good sponsors, and a caring attitude about helping take
care of those who need healthcare in our communities.”
Proceeds of the event will help to support the programs and
services of the Foundation such as: making it possible to
purchase new and updated hospital equipment, being able to
support the hospital volunteer program and bursaries for
students completing their studies in an identified healthcare
profession to help offset shortages in the healthcare staff
in the future, as well as other notable programs.
