GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN - The Hudson's Bay Company turned
335 years old on May 2 and to celebrate Zellers, a HBC owned
store, donated a total of $2,250 to a number of local Cumberland
County charities. A large part of the amount came from the
sale of Charity Plus, a line of five different plush toys
available year round at the store with proceeds going to
local charities. From the left presenting cheques on behalf
of the local Zellers is Tobi Byrne with ARHS bursary representative
Charlotte Fawthrop, Judy Tooke of the board of directors
of Autumn House, Jodi Swan who is the managing director of
the Cumberland County Health Care Centre Foundation, and
United Way director Cathy Skinner. All four groups were delighted
to receive funds from HBC during their birthday celebrations. by
