Health Care Foundation's Annual Dinner April 25

AMHERST
(Staff) - The Cumberland Health Care Foundation is busy planning
its annual dinner. Formerly known as the Chairman's Gala, the
dinner is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at the Wandlyn Inn
is West Amherst.
The event provides an opportunity for interested individuals to be informed about
the foundation and its goals and directions for the future. The evening will
feature an informative guest speaker, presentation by the foundation chair and
managing director and remarks from Cumberland Health Authority CEO Bruce Quigley.
The Distinguished Service Award will also be presented at the annual dinner.
As part of the evening's entertainment, an auction will be held. This will prove
to be a very popular part of the evening, with former premier Roger Bacon serving
as auctioneer.
To date, some item that will be on the suction block include a weekend at the
Driftwood Park Retreat in Advocate, a beautiful piece of sculpture, artwork from
various local artisans and Tidnish Bridge Hiking Sticks crafted by foundation
vice-chair Morris Haugg.
Tickets are availible from any member of the foundation board, as well as the
foundation office located at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. To reserve
