BELTRAN NEW DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

AMHERST, NS (October 2, 2009)   In August, Dr. Carlos Ponton-Beltran replaced Dr. Murray McCrossin as Director of the Emergency Department at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. 

In noting the transfer of responsibilities, Dr. David Gass, Chief of Staff for the Cumberland Health Authority commented on the commitment Dr. McCrossin exhibited over the past eight years in the role, “Dr. McCrossin has provided excellent leadership in this role and was dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted service in the Emergency Department and we express our sincere appreciation to him for a job well done.”

The particular role of Director of the Emergency Department is a very demanding position that requires support from across the health authority and best wishes are extended to Dr. Beltran as he embarks on these new responsibilities on behalf of the Cumberland Health Care Foundation, the Cumberland Health Care Auxiliary, and the Cumberland Health Authority.
