Highland Classic Trophy Up for Grabs Again in 2008
AMHERST, NS (April 1, 2008) – The sunshine, warm breeze, friendliness and the air of camaraderie amongst players and volunteers will again highlight a day when sports enthusiasts support a cause with a direct benefit for local county residents.
The upcoming 13th Annual Highland Classic Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday August 8th, 2008 at the Amherst Golf Club to support the programs and services of the Cumberland Health Care Foundation. The event will again include four hole-in-one prizes in addition to special competitions under the ever popular Highland Classic competitions.
The Highland Cup was won by a team from Hoffman La Roche in 2007 who shot a 17 under par at the event.
“We would also like to thank all the volunteers at this event, the sponsors, and donors for helping us make a difference and in growing care in our community”, finished Wood, “it’s nice to see people putting aside a day to make a difference in the life of others”.
